Data Availability Statement

Advances in Health and Exercise requires authors to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscripts.

Authors must clearly indicate whether the data supporting the findings of the study are publicly available, available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request, or not available due to ethical, legal, or confidentiality restrictions.

The journal does not mandate public data sharing. However, transparency regarding the availability of research data is required to support scientific integrity and reproducibility.

When data cannot be shared due to ethical considerations, participant privacy, or legal restrictions, authors should explicitly state the reason in the Data Availability Statement.

Example Statements

Authors may use one of the following statements, as appropriate:

  • “The data supporting the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.”

  • “The data are not publicly available due to ethical restrictions and participant confidentiality.”

  • “All data generated or analyzed during this study are included in this published article.”

  • “The datasets generated during the current study are available in a public repository [name], with accession number or DOI [if applicable].”

The accuracy and completeness of the Data Availability Statement are the sole responsibility of the authors.
